About us

Elk market is a slowly growing creative space in which the owner and creator Lotta H Löthgren’s ideas, designs, thoughts and inspirations come together. There are two parts to this little adventure; the fibre part, where Lotta plant dyes yarn, designs knitwear patterns and sells a carefully chosen selection of natural yarns, and the metal part, a place where precious metals are transformed into jewellery. 

Elk market yarn is a web shop at the present time, based in the forest of southern Sweden. The cottage shop is open every now and then but don't have regular opening hours. Keep an eye on social media for knit nights and open weekends!

Lotta lives with her family and dogs in a big wooden house near the studio and draws inspiration from this very place; the forest, the changing seasons, the lakes and the starlit night sky can all be traced in her creations. 

Elk market is a space for makers and creatives, regardless of race, sexual orientation and identity, physical and cognitive ability, body size, and religion.
